One of my goals for the next season of life is to find ways to communicate more consistently for the glory of God and the good of those he has given me to serve and shepherd. To that end, I started this website to publish my thoughts that I’m calling “Finishing Thoughts.” That title comes from my life verse, Acts 20:24:
But I do not account my life of any value nor a precious to myself if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
I pray these “Finishing Thoughts” will help us all finish our courses well. I have no desire to enter the world of blogging or influencing or social media bantering; my intent will always be to build up my beloved church family and those brothers and sisters close to me, so I probably won’t ever engage in online debate nor feel the need to respond to everyone and everything. If you are close to me, you know how to get in touch with me for further discussion; however, you are free to share these thoughts of mine with others if you wish.
My thoughts usually travel down three paths. The pastoral path reflects the life of my local church, Redemption Hill. The church planting path reflects my work as a Church Planting Strategist. The theology path reflects my theological curiosities. You can expect me to share news, encouragements, sermon extras, devotional nuggets, and probably a little reflection on current events. I pray these thoughts edify and bless, and I pray God gives us the endurance and perseverance we desperately need to finish well.
